Copywriting is a direction I would like to take my career. I am inspired by the intersection of storytelling and connecting people to products and services that can impact their lives. For the last year, I’ve been working with an artist named Kevin Sudeith who makes petroglyphs (rock carvings). I’ve been in charge of all of his written materials as we have worked to update his website and inventory his new collection of ceramics. This work has included product descriptions, landing page copy, email campaigns, blog posts and direct response copy. In order to develop my portfolio, I have joined a group called Word Tonic, using their prompts to create spec work which you will find below. You will also find a range of freelance assignments and a minimal amount of work from an architecture company I worked with in 2021. While the work I have to show is minimal, the lessons learned here about developing user persona profiles and developing ideations are invaluable.
